Fellowship: 
As per DBT rules. (INR 37,000/- pm (consolidated)+HRA)

Age Limits and Relaxation:
The age limit for applying under this scheme is 30 years (as of the application submission date). Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/physically challenged and women.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have a first-division B.Tech/BE in Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech/M.E in Structural Engineering, Structural Dynamics Engineering, or Earthquake Engineering. A qualified GATE/NET.

Eligibility Criteria: 
Candidates with a strong background in programming skills (preferably SAP, ETABS, MATLAB, ABAQUS, ANSYS, Artificial Intelligence, CFD) are encouraged to apply. Simulating heat and mass transfer in structural members to evaluate their behavior on computational and experimental platforms. Selected candidates will be encouraged to register for a PhD in the Department of Civil Engineering at SVNIT Surat.

The Institute was established as Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVRCET) Surat in 1961 as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs) to impart technical education. The Institute had begun with offering Bachelor Degree Programmes in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The Government of India declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVRCET) Surat to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat with status of ‘Deemed University’ with effect from 4th December, 2002.
